This yarn has extra plies and twist, so it will hold up better than many 100% Merino yarns. This would be great for socks, and it's soft enough for next-to-skin wear. The extra plies give it a rustic look and allow the dye to mottle a bit more than on yarns with fewer plies.

This was one of the colorways I had to knit a swatch of, just to see how it would look. I love the way the green pops up unexpectedly - but subtly - to create a complex but wearable fabric. The overall cast is definitely a dusty purple sort of color, and with the sheen of the silk it's practically iridescent. (Reminds me of the colorful oil slicks you see on the surface of puddles...)
FYI the swatch was about 3" wide, so the color changes are very short and the colors won't "pool".

“Rainforest” is a rich green and blue-green that is vibrant and soothing. The color saturation is strong (common with superwash yarn) and this lovely 100% merino is absolutely next-to-the-skin soft, with a smooth finish that is really lovely. I think this would complement a navy coat especially well.
You will want to bury your face in this fantastically soft yarn as soon as you get it. Wonderful for a quick knit project that still needs to be luscious, and can survive life with folks who don't hand wash their wool. (Although hand washing is always best, imho.)
